Silvertip Tetras are a peaceful fish, and are compatible with other peaceful, friendly tank mates. They should be kept in a group of at least six, and if kept in a tank with slow swimming fish, they may nip at their fins.
The aquarium should have plenty of hiding spots, a moderate flow and open swimming areas.
