Native to the Huanaco region in Peru and Ecuador, the Panda Corydoras has a preference for cooler than normal waters.
It’s popular among aquarists due to its attractive colours and peaceful nature, but they must be kept in an aquarium that has a high cleanliness standard, as they succumb to stress in a poor aquarium environment.
They are a social fish, and should be kept in a group of at least eight (they also associate themselves easily with the Clown Loach, if space doesn’t permit). They prefer an environment with plenty of sheltered and hiding areas, as well as, floating and live plants.
