Originating from the streams and rivers in the northern part of South America, the Black Ghost Knife prefers heavily planted aquariums with tree root structures. This gives it an area to retreat away from the aquarium lighting, or if it feels threatened.
They are best kept with tank mates that aren’t too aggressive, and adults should have an aquarium of 600 litres or more to ensure several specimens can coexist peacefully.
