Originating from the Amazon and Orinoco Basins, and several other rivers in the Guiana Shield in tropical South America, the Angel Fish is a popular fish found in aquariums. They are not only beautiful to look at, but can live with a variety of other tropical fish species. However, as they begin to mature they tend to become territorial and aggressive, and should be placed in a separate tank as adults.
Angel Fish should be kept in the cleanest and largest tank that you can support, to minimise any territorial disputes, with a good filtration system that doesn’t cause extreme currents as they aren’t the most agile swimmers.
